Review/Variation:
This ice cream cake definitely gets 5 Stars. We made an ice cream cake just today but decided to do something a little different. We did 1 layer of ice cream sandwiches, 1 layer of Breyer's Dark Chocolate ice cream (sooooooo good!), 1 layer of crushed graham crackers, another layer of Breyer's Dark Chocolate, and then 1 layer of Breyer's Reese's Peanut Butter Cups ice cream. That was delicious!

WOw, your's sounds amazing! I never thought of expanding on that, probably because I've never made an ice cream cake or wanted to make one but I kind of want to make one now!

That's a pretty versatile recipe. Lots of room to play around with it. I may have to try making it using Oreo Klondikes (*drool*).

Hi from Australia
What is 'graham crackers', I have never heard of them before. Thanks heaps Lily and Ellie
PS I love Reses peanut butter cups too but they are very hard to find over hear and can only be broght from speciality Lolly Shops! Oh and is it true you guys have cherry flavoured coke?

@Anonymous

Hi Anonymous,

Graham crackers are sweet crackers that come in rectangles and are a popular snack food in the United States.

We do have cherry Coke in North America, as well as many other flavors of Coke. :)

Thanks for reading!

taking your base idea and just thought i would throw it out there though mine is much smaller. i'm doing a chocolate brownie (no nuts) with a layer of strawberry preserves on top with the ice cream sandwiches then cool whip's chocolate frosting. piped around the outside to hide the edges of the pan and some decorative work. thought i would share the take on your families recipe. thanks for the base idea - Laura
