Date Set for Duggars' Return to TLC

The news you have been waiting for all summer is finally here! New episodes of 19 Kids and Counting premiere in less than three weeks! Tune in to TLC on Tuesday, September 17th, to see what the Duggars have been up to since last season.

On another note, the Duggars are holding a flea market and auction to benefit the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Arkansas Children's Hospital. The family is grateful for the exceptional care that Josie, now almost four years old, received from Arkansas Children's when she was born three months early and wish to help other families of preemies.

The fundraiser will take place on Saturday, September 7th, from 8am-2pm at 500 Arbor Acres Avenue in Springdale, Arkansas. The camera crew will be filming throughout the day.

A Visit From the Duggars

Putting others above themselves is a lifestyle habit that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar strive to instill in their children. Leading by example, the couple, along with Gil and Kelly Bates (also the parents of 19 children), visited Claire, a fan recovering from brain surgery.

After connecting with the Bates family through a mutual friend late last week, Gil and Kelly offered to surprise Claire with a visit. Jim Bob and Michelle had plans to drop by the Bates' Tennessee home Monday afternoon and jumped at the chance to go along, so the two couples arranged to meet Claire at the hospital later that evening.

Brad, Claire's father, shares the details of the visit:

The Duggars had been on the road all day with their family, and yet once they got settled in with [the] Bates and had dinner, they then got in the car and drove from the Bates' home in Lake City to the hospital. There were no cameras, except our own. There was no publicity. They simply got in the car and drove to Knoxville to meet Claire. It was out of pure kindness, I say it was a "God thing."

Brad said that the four had tears in their eyes as he told them Claire's story.

They all gave her gentle hugs, and Ms. Duggar even gave her sweet kisses on the forehead. Mr. Bates led us in a prayer, and then they just visited with us. They insisted we keep them posted on her recovery. I was truly impressed with the love that God has put in their hearts. I can't thank the Duggar and Bates families enough for the effort they made to make our Claire Bear a very happy little lady. God used them as such a blessing to us, and we are grateful. Most of all, I thank God for progress in Claire's healing and another step toward getting home. Thank you for your continued prayers and please say a prayer for the Duggars and Bates, as well."

Josh: "I’m just invigorated by it all"

Josh and Anna Duggar and their three children have been in Washington D.C. for nearly two months. How did Josh land his new job at FRC Action (an affiliate of the Family Research Council)?

Joy is currently visiting D.C
Josh's passion for politics began 15 years ago when Jim Bob Duggar ran for Arkansas House of Representatives and won. Jim Bob involved his family of 13 in his political career from the start, and Josh has had an interest in politics ever since.

But when Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, approached him about a job opening earlier this year, Josh was hesitant.

Marcus Duggar--2 months old
“I attended the 2013 March for Life in January – my first time to attend – and I bumped into Tony Perkins,” Josh told the American Family Association Journal.

Josh offered to help find candidates for the position, but Tony Perkins had something else in mind. “What about you?” he asked the 24-year-old.

“No,” Josh answered, “I’m comfortable running my business back home in Arkansas.”
Filming for 19 Kids and Counting

The two men resolved to pray about it, and five months later, Josh and Anna and their three childrenages 3, 2, and newborn were moving to D.C.

Despite his age, Josh has big plans for his political career: “It’s time to say enough is enough,” he said, “to share our thoughts and vision, to work together, to share information and materials, to provide resources for each other, from D.C. to our own hometowns. I’m just invigorated by it all."
