Update from TLC: Duggars Returning?

We already know that the Duggars will not be returning in January. How about February?

Here's the latest: TLC has informed us that the "19 Kids and Counting" TV schedule has not been finalized. More information will be available in the coming weeks.

Hoping for late February,
Lily and Ellie

  4. As much as I love watching the Duggars...I really hope they can opt out of filming more for there privacy and families sake...They have had enough publicity and cruel comments from this world and think it would be time for them to move on to living there life in private.

  5. Here is a question that has not been answered: Has TLC been following the Duggars on their last few campaign trips? If the show will continue, then surely the cameras will be there unless this is a hiatus.

Isn't there supposed to be a show where the Duggars go to Space Camp?

If TLC crew has not been around then they can't make shows.

  7. I will be crushed if the show is cancelled. If it is, hopefully they will find another film company and a way to continue on another cable channel!

  10. I would guess that one of the first few shows of the new season involve Jubilee, whether it is doctors appointments, discussions, or the funeral. The funeral has already sparked controversy, airing an episode will reopen a wound. They may be giving them a little more time to heal before they start the new season.

    1. I was able to meet some of the Duggars and the Bates last week and they told me that TLC will start airing a new series on the Bates family starting in March. I don't know if that means they are replacing the Duggars or if this is in addition to 19 Kids And Counting.

  15. Very nice show for a few years. Now it's time to cancel it. I have found it sad watching the grown up girls not having lives of their own ever, no college, no jobs. I know they were brought up to be "God's Soldier's" as Michelle put it. But it has grown tedious watching the past 2 seasons, day to day living, not worth the money or effort TLC is putting in.
The whole family all had their fame and money, enough now.

  17. Hey anonymous, it would be great if they had the Bates and Duggars in the same time slot so that one or the other would be on most of the time!

  18. okay. I have a question that would someone please, please, please answer. Is the Duggars show going to be canceled? I hope not because I absolutely love that show. Of course it would be the Duggars' decision or TLC's but I will burst out crying if I find out there show will be canceled. If the Duggars want to cancel, I want them to think about this: Maybe you don't know it, but you encourage and give hope to so many people out there! I knew a young girl (let's call her Ashley) who got pregnant and was very scared. She and her boyfriend and parents talked it over and they decided to go ahead and do an abortion. They were to go to the clinic in 3 weeks. On the evening before the day of the scheduled abortion, Ashley sat down and flipped through her TV channels. She stopped at TLC to go to the bathroom. When she came back, the Duggars were on and she decided to sit down and watch. It was a coincidence (or was it?) that it was an episode that Michelle was talking about her views on abortion. After the episode was over, Ashley went to her room, overwhelmed. She thought about the child in her womb, the precious life that she was going to take away. That night, she kneeled down and asked God for forvieness for everything she had done wrong. She gave her life to Jesus and the abortion appoitmen was canceled. And she isn't the only one. The Duggars affect so much people! PLEASE, if you know anything about show cancellation, please answer my question. Please!

  24. In this day and age of cell phones, both parents working, hurry hurry hurry and so much stress I want to thank you and your family for having the strength and courage to have your family life filmed. I continue to learn from your family and pass it on to my five children and nine grandchildren.

  28. I love the Duggars too. They really do feel like part of the family and that's when you need to step back and remember you don't really know them! ;p I'm sure it's taking some time getting the show together. A segment about Jubilee will be good. It will help the fans have closure as well. And a show about the Bates? As much as I enjoy seeing the Bates I'm not sure how good of an idea it is for TLC to focus a whole series on them. Talk about starting up more media firestorms!!

    Hi Anonymous,

Earlier this year, Amy Duggar was blackmailed by a woman who demanded that the network cancel the show or give her $10,000. Here is the link to the post we wrote when it happened: http://duggarsblog.blogspot.com/2012/02/woman-arrested-for-blackmailing-duggars.html.

  35. the duggar family is boring and I'm
amazed that their show is still on the air. The children all seem robotic, the parents too.

  36. Please don't be rude about the Duggars... they are good and Godly people! I miss then so much. In 2003 or 2004, "14 and pregnant again" came on and they've brought joy to me every since.

  37. I really hope to see the Duggars back soon. They are much more inspiring to watch than trash like Honey Boo-Boo!

  38. love this show.. it is a great show for the whole family.... nice to have shows that are family appropriate. Hope TLC keeps them

  39. The Dugger's show is the only tv I watch! There is nothing worth watching on tv. So much violence and sex. They prove they can live a Christian life, even with all the children. It's such a refreshing show and encouraging to me as a Christian. Keep in mind they are self sufficient and not using the system for their life. This world would be a better place if there were more people like the Dugger's.
